anyone got a step ladder?

While catching up on my blog surfing I came across a post from L.A. Daddy about a "height predictor" he found at an online parenting site. Of course being the total dork that I am, I filled in all the required fields and clicked the predict button.

Your boy will likely be 6 feet, 4 inches at age 18.

Holy kraut!

I'd always suspected eventually I'd be looking up at my son but never thought I'd need a crane to do so. Makes sense if you look at my side of the height gene. There's some pretty tall people in my lineage. Not on his father's side so much though. Yeah, his father's half-brother (same mother, different father) is freakishly tall compared to the rest of the family, so maybe one of those freaky genes carried through.

Only time will tell. In the meantime, guess I'd better take him more seriously when he says he wants to be a professional basketball player.

My son came in at 6'1 and my daughter at 5'5. Is it wrong that I'm jealous of my daughter's shorter height? *sigh*

Go figure. Let's all be shocked that Michael is expected to clock in at 6.2....

You were sticking your tongue out me as I was leaving Savy a comment so I thought I'd pop over.

Holy kraut indeed! Your boy is going to be able to kick almost everybody's ass in school. And yes, you should take him more seriously ... but only because he'll be able to kick your butt as well. :)

Holy kamoly that's tall! Despite already being 5 foot 1 at age 10 and a half, that predictor says my oldest son will be an average 6 feet tall at 18. Interesting predictor!

What's scary to me is that Josh is 13 and *already* 6ft tall. The predictor said he'd be 6'5"! Oi! I hope he doesn't go over! LOL!

My girlfriend's 9 month old son is already wearing size 3T clothes. He's going to be freaking gigantic.

Yeah, LA Toddler may end up a shorty, but I've still got LA Fetus to fall back on - he/she might end up being my next basketball protege! Hopefully.

If not... I guess I still have to love 'em anyway.
